Salem - James Lee Weidner, 69, of Salem, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Fireside House in Centralia.
James was born on November 17, 1956, at the Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia, the son of Harley Glen Weidner and Doris J. (Sturdivant) Ruse.
Survivors include his two children, Lydia Weidner of Salem and Jack Weidner of Indiana; brother, Kelly J. Weidner and wife Karen of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a sister, Mary Lawrence and husband Rex of Bargersville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Glen Weidner and Doris J. Ruse, and stepfather, Jack Ruse.
James was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Centralia. He worked as a computer technician for Kerasotes Theatres for 32 years before retiring.
Funeral services for James Lee Weidner will be held at noon on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Centralia, with Ryan Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or the American Kidney Fund and will be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, who is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
